PRODUCTION PROCESS

The water is drawn at a depth of 150-180 meters south west of Stylos village, in the foothills of the White Mountains. The drilling facilities have been constructed under strict specifications (stainless steel pipes, insulation from the surrounding environment and human intervention, etc.). After it is transferred to the plant, the water is filtered by two arrays of filters, without any chemical treatment or exposure to sunlight, thus maintaining its natural character intact.

The company has four automated lines for bottling water:
1. At the first line, the water is bottled in PET type bottles of 0.5, 1.5 and 0.75 lt (production capacity: 16,500 bottles per hour).

2. The second line is used for bottling 1 lt glass bottles as well as for bottling carbonated water in glass bottles of 0.33 and 0.7 lt (production capacity: 6,000 bottles per hour).

3. The third line is used for bottling SAMARIA water in PET bottles of 5 and 10 lt (production capacity: 1,200 bottles per hour).

4. In 2008, as part of the development plan of ETANAP SA, the installation of a new production line using cutting edge technology was completed. The new production line is used to bottle water in PET bottles of 0.5, 0.75, 1 and 1.5 lt with a capacity of 18,000 bottles per hour.

The water bottling is completed in modern production lines (one of them is Combi type), which excludes the possibility of human intervention. Initially, bottles are formed through the processing of preforms. In the next step, preforms are disinfected: they are heated to approximately 115°C and formed in molds while they are blown with sterile air. In the final stage, bottling and capping occur.

As the end bottle comes out of the enclosed space, the product code and expiration date are recorded, the label is affixed and, finally, it is packed and transferred to the warehouse.
